~Would You, Could You Write A Poem~

Poet, poet, listen please
I beg of you, I'm on my knees
Would you write a poem for me
Would you. could you...can it be

Would you write it in the rain
Would you write of joy or pain
Would you write it in a car
Would you write about a star
Would you write it in the night
Would you write about a kite
If it made the people look
Would you write it in a book

Yes, I'd write a poem for you
Listen close, here's what I'd do

I would write it in the rain
I would write of joy and pain
I would write it in a car
I would write about a star
I would write it in the night
I would write about a kite
If it made the people look
I would write it in a book

That's wonderful, but tell me true
Could you write a poem for two

Would you, could you write it slow
Could you, would you...I must know
Would you, could you write it sweet
For my love, a special treat
Would you, could you write a sonnet
Could you...I'm depending on it.

I can write a poem for two
Wait and see - you won't be blue

I would write it nice and slow
I could let the feelings flow
I would write it oh so sweet
For your love a special treat
I would write a perfect sonnet
No doubt, you can depend on it

Thank you, thank you, poet dear
I'm filled with gratitude sincere
Now, tell me once or tell me twice
Would you write it for a price

You are welcome, this is true
I will take good care of you
I'll tell you once, and maybe twice
This poet's words, they know no price
I gladly share them now for free
To touch a heart, my only fee

you have not truly met the poet.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss
you were better
than Mother Goose

I would have
no better way
to say Thanks
than to add it here
You were my

YAY!!! (giggles in delight) Awwwwwww, the spirit of Dr. Seuss fills your hearty, sweet friend, he was my favorite author when I was a little boy and he is still one of my favorites today! (kiss on cheek) One poems, two poems, short poems, long poems, oh all the wonderful thinks you can think! (smiles) We all love you so much, sweet friend, HAPPY BIRRHDAY DR. SEUSS!!! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Vicky, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I am sure that hearts are touched.
For that we thank you very much.
We hear that it's a special day
To Dr Seuss, here's what we say
We'll celebrate for you - dear Doc
We'll write all right around the clock
We'll honor you with poetry....

I'll have to do the rest on my own poem??..
On a roll now...

Vicky,
I would I could write to you
to thank you for your write so true
I would thank you on a plane
I would give thanks in the rain
I would thank you from my car
If I could, thanks from a star
Dr Suess is honoured here
but it's really very clear
Vicky is a poet too
so I give my thanks to you.

Dr. Seuss I've never met,
but you have my dear, I bet.
Writing verses oh so sweet,
rhyme and meter very neat.

Glad I caught you here.

I would write a poem for you
I would sing it loud and true
I would write in in the park
I would write it in the dark
Maybe it would light a spark
Find your heart and hit the mark
I would write it there in Phoenix
I would write it on a Kleenix
You could take what I compose
And then you could blow your nose!

Well, Vicky... I was gonna say you've collected a fee here. *S* But SOME Kleenex toting Balladeer made coherent thought all disappear. *G* So I'll just say... I enjoyed very much!

You have done it here and now
I truly wish you'd show me how
A tribute to our Dr. Seuss
Now we'll have our apple juice.

Within the blue we will read
And implant a vital seed
A treasure from Vlraynes
Can we now play with trains?

You have done it here and now
All I can offer you is Wow!
A thank you from my heart is due
Reminding us to eat our stew.

Vicky~

You little poet you !

Lookee here what you just did
sent me scampering like a kid
Once again a birthday party thrown
I'm so glad my heart's not grown~

I'd really like a poem with SPAM
I'll even eat your Green Eggs And Ham
If you'll serve it up with rhyme
I'll gobble it down ... every time~

You throw one heckuva party~
Love you~
