Pocketfuls of Sand....just for the silly of it

Pocketfuls of sand
remember the cold day
when water took the beach
and  my favorite shoe
out into the blue

Find that maverick wave
did I,  all drenched and flailing,
twirling turning tangle
clutching shoe
as if to boat attached
before I was blobbed in sand on back

Just as the sun noticed me
and turned on its warm

Oh, I'm cold and it's supposed to get colder, and this brings thoughts of warm. Thank you.

Martie, I wish I could walk the beach right now.  This isn't so silly, but is sure sweet.

Martie, this is like a breath of fresh air!
What I would give to walk along the beach in the warm sun right now!
Spring can't be too far behind, right?
~Hugs for this happy one, Nancy~

Martie - oooooh!!! It's that very first splash of icy water - the one that takes your breath away. After that...it's just plain refreshing. Love this. Chris

ROTF...I'm good for something! This DID bring wonderful smiles, and thoughts of my clam-digging days...someday when I get techno-smart, I MUST find that clammy photo and put it up with a poem....
