So much has come together without ever realizing it was out of place.
The initial infatuation was a perfect song that we danced slowly to.
Then there was love, it was not the kind I had hoped to find
but you said it would be easier that way, your way.

Then there was this pleasure of two in the light of day,
only to be carried away in the moonlight;
that eventually brought on far too much pain and displeasure.
Suddenly we were not aligned anymore,
and I was dancing around you like I said I'd never do.

Then came the truth in lies that was clearly so easy to see through.
In reality it was always there just reworded a thousand times over,
leaving me to stare in awe,
and I wonder if that was your intention to push me away, gradually,
so that you would not be burdened with unnecessary intentions.

Alas, no two hearts are of the same mind, not exactly.
Yours unscathed by your self control that doesn't allow you to care,
as though you enjoy going the opposite direction on a one way street.
And mine that cared too much, too soon, too deep and violently......
Like a street car named desire, daring to dream a little dream.

We came a long way to end up here,
but I think we both knew that we would ultimately come undone.
Derailed and off track never to carry on again.
We've come together and apart once and for all,
never to turn back again.

The love song we used to slow dance to is over
playing in a distant memory
and becomes the changing winds.

(big huggggsssssss) Oh my gosh, this is so very sad, I know just how you feel, for no two hearts and minds are the same, but love is never meant to be perfect and just cherishing the small differences of lovers hearts makes love even more gorgeous! (kiss on cheek) My heart goes out to yo, sweet friend, I hope now you have found a true love to hold close forever! We all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Noah~  This was not meant to be sad.
It was more about coming full circle
and accepting what can't be changed.
We can't force our hearts upon another.
Thanks for your kind words.

Victoria~ My limo has yet to come in,
but my day will come and when it does,
I plan on telling him to step on it!!     Thanks for your nice reply.

THIS..sweet poetess,, is a remarkable write!
I have read it over 3 or 4 times now...just amazing.  How love begins, and grows, and how we glow, then the real person comes out and, oh, I know this feeling so well.  We grow in different directions and, oh my, I am starting to ramble...just wanted you to know I think this is very very well done!  I enjoy this style of writing myself.

Seems like a purging of soul, in order to begin again? Sad, but hopeful in the prospect of the dream. My what a thought provoking write.

those words, so familiar they bleed with the same blood in my veins.
I often feel the same, Lor, totally lost on how to deal with lost direction.
Not sure of 'not caring' is accurate; just perspective from a different view.
But for someone as wonderful as you, i am sure the emotions, the feelings,
the time spent were very sincere, or you would not risk your heart on such
a venture.  Still, my heart pounds with sadness after reading this.

A love song I've heard before. The dance starts out strong, full of passion and slowly becomes a serenade on the winds of memory.  ***Ivy Rose

Lori,
But the memories grow faint with time never quite fading. Been there and done that. Excellent write and I like your plan. Hopefully that limo is just around the corner!

The wound does run deep
when loves kicks you in the teeth

So much sadness in this write, yet so much wisdom too, of knowing that it is time to move on.  Nicely done.

Dave

Nancy~ Yes love simply evolves.
Thank you~

PB4S~ Purging ones soul helps to ease the pain...
and I'm getting better all the time.
Thanks

Startime~  Falling too hard is precisely where the problem lies.
I've no intention
of dying from a broken heart!
It's not the way I want to go!
Thank you dear.

BC~ It is comforting to know that my words are understood.
Thank you for your warm reply.

Sunshine~ Thank you for enjoying,
it's nice to know you were here.

SR~ Thank you for that!
Have no fear I am not crying in my beer.
Just adding another lime to it!

Ivy Rose~ Thank you for your lovely reply.
I wasn't real keen on the way I ended this,
I like what you said better.
Again I thank you.

Larry~ I've got to have a plan to back me up just in case I miss my ride.
I wasn't born yesterday or the day before.

James Michael~ I know I'm not the first nor will I be the last.
Either way it's still not much fun.
Thank you for reading.

Dave~ It's a persistant thorn in my side,
that causes me to ache,
I suppose it's all part of the healing process.
Thank you very much.

Larry~  I'm going to be worn out if I stay on top too long!!
Easy now and thanks.

SEA~ I was never any good at mixing my words.
Thank you SEAgal, I'm so happy that you always stop to read.
