Even though you've been gone
for nearly three years
I still see your spirit
in many shapes and forms

I see you in the low lying mist
that covers the lake -
so calm and comforting is this image
Your spirit soars on the wings
of a golden eagle -
so majestic and so graceful in flight

I see your image reflected in
the golden glow of the sunset
as it spreads like a blanket
across the sea

You come to me in my dreams
bringing comfort and warmth
to my aching heart
You guide me through my pen
as I write my words of love

But mostly I feel you
inside my heart
You remain my guiding light
and a constant source of inspiration

'tho the light sometimes flickers
this flame of eternal love
I hold for you will never dim

* * * * *

Written in honour of the great love
I felt and still feel for my late father.
May he rest in peace and keep
a place for me under the birch tree.

(BIG HUGGGSSSSSSS) God Bless You, sweet friend, my heart cries out to your loss but I know deep down from the bottom of my heart your father will never forget you and will always love you so so much, for he will always guide you with his love from up above! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, this one made me cry, we all love you so so much! You have such a loving and compassionate heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Sue,
I knew before I read your explanation. I really like the poetry you write...but especially the poetry you write in memory of your father. Don't stop.

Sue, this was a extremely heartwarming poem to your Dad, who holds your love eternally.  You keep him in your heart and by sharing your words of love for him I almost feel like I am getting to know him.  How loving and lovely this was.

I really admire your love for him Sue, That is how I feel about my mom. You were fortunate to have love from such a wonderful father, this is a great tribute to him. floria
