Gemma you are the pride in my heart Was my name possession or feeling struck and captured beneath bloody walls of your skin Were you caught in revel of your own words and how beautiful they sounded did I ever match them I hover like scarred beast over every sentence that erodes weathered by constant thrash of bitter cold Gemma you are my tears Precognition of all you would cause I became our tears, and wept for you I know you could never cry for yourself Looking through you and around this debris so beautiful still beneath the change I want not for these words to fade Would the sky of pride fall black if I broke silence and asked when all that I was, changed I know I won't for yes, the petty sake, of holding my own in the war of silence you waged. |
