You are more than what you seem
if you but look beyond the dream
Take what is given down deep inside
for those might not be dreams which you deride

They could be strengths hidden away
aching to come out, and have their say
Given gifts, of poem and prose
even words to share, in times of lows

Too easy to stay back from light of day
instead of looking forward, down the way
Feel the warmth that is not sun
but the inner glow that has begun

Let the breeze push you along
the rhythm of heart, sing its song
Forget the past, except what it will teach
for there is nothing, that is, beyond your reach

Open your eyes to the beauties around
smell the flowers instead of being down
Grab hold of life and begin to live
share what is you, and what you can give

In the giving, you will find
what goes out, stays not behind
For what you give, you may never know
how the ripples spread in gentle flow

Logan , This is truly beautiful poetry and oveflowing with God's eternal Wisdom! Thank you!  Ellie

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Logan, I love this, and evey word rings true!
The last stanza sums it all up...

"In the giving, you will find
what goes out, stays not behind
For what you give, you may never know
how the ripples spread in gentle flow"

Perfect, gentle keeper.
A warm hug and a soft smile, Nancy.

Read this once..then read again its rhymes...
read it carefully...read between the lines
read the wisdom whispered upon the wind
read the words spoken round the circle of friends.

A poet born a prophet ... lays another stick on the fire....
to grow in his light ... will allow you to fly higher.

Even thru the darkest phase, be it thick or thin
Always someone marches brave, here beneath my skin
Constant Craving ... has always been.

A very inspirational poem, Logan. We all have strengths hidden deep inside and our family and friends help us to find those strengths. When we stop dreaming, we cease to live...I love your poem.

Once again your campfire glows with truth and wisdom, and the words flow like ripples in a quiet pond when a thinking stone is tossed.

What an inspiration this is! Beautiful words of wisdom, indeed...this should be on a plaque   Have you ever thought of getting your poetry published?  Well, here's one honeybee who would gladly buy a copy!

Take care,
Melissa~
