Recollection of Recall ~ or ~ Intellectualism’s Intent

or...Snippets Courtesy of Sy's Inspire

~*~

Thus in pall of pale moonbeam
all things are as they seem
a bit of recall of the rose
a fragrance sweet to this nose
a bit of floral atrophy
this dried rose of memory

~*~

So Sun shall shine on Randy and thee
in hopes of offering harmony
a bit of shine on aged domain
then sing a bit of that refrain

For with the princess and her prince
I am ever more convinced
that reality has its place, all right,
but dreams are good for our respite

~*~

My strings were pulled by others, dear
who did not allow me my morning cheer
I saw in wonder with near dismay
this which almost...got away!

~*~

Run across a note, an old letter?
Aye, 'tis how I first met her
'twas how she gave me my insight,
and why, Sir, I write the night...

~*~

This seems to me a mighty weight
a feel that I have come too late
but better late than never, friend
we'll stand together in the end...

~*~

Should every bride be seen by groom,
in love's light, then there's room
for them to grow old, side by side
in love's light, groom holds his bride

~*~

In this quiet circumspect
I find a Fellow I respect
who weighs his way of pondered say
and leaves me smiling through the day

~*~

So lend to me your heart my dear
uncovering secrets we hold near
that all might see what draws us nigh
poet, poetess seek Shangri-la's high

~*~

You stand apart from all the rest
putting thought to stress of test
just when I think you've wrote your best
you come back quick in style and zest...

~*~

I tripped the light fantastic
on the brush of painter's stick
on the candle's lighted wick
in the dream of rush so thick

And I drew it to me...

~*~

With sing of song and lilt of rhyme
I read you every single time
you wend your way into my art
as Keeper of this poet's heart...

So bathe away in glorious glee
as long as it brings us poetry...

~*~

I've read you long enough to know
all you say might not be so
but still you tug this string on heart
well wishes then I would impart…

~*~

When alone
thoughts atone
for all was done
alone as one

But let my friend
come on through
all past is past
we see new views...

~*~

The willow has a special song
that she leaves behind
one that layers gently upon
my soft and fragile mind...

~*~

Crowned King Royal
Readers remaining loyal
Scepter is thy word

~*~

Dear Melancholy, sit with me
while I brew some raspberry tea
it seems the dragon's lost his roar
but wait! What is that at my door?

Seems the Moth Queen sits in light ~
now I shall watch Melancholy's flight...

~*~

I'll dance with you around the moon
and tango through the night till soon
we fall upon our leaves of dreams
and count the glitter in moon beams!

~*~

In sweet repose
you heard a song
in Moth's wings
you still belong

~*~

For as the sun would round the earth,
as each new day is given birth
you grant me well my lovesome's worth
for I would rage before the dearth

But with each flutter of your bye
you bring complete one lovesong's sigh

~*~

It's chocolate chips
and fingertips
jello-smooth
in rainbow hue
a bit of Sy
with by and by
my start of day
my gild of gay

~*~

Glad that dream finally rhymed
it was well past your posting time...
I was hitting the ceiling and walls
going into Sy-withdrawals!

~*~

Sometimes the knowing
is in the glowing
and in the smile
of Sy's worth-wile

~*~

Keep the dreams,
hold them tight
parody's but a scaremare
in the night...

~*~

In grant the daily aptitude
makes us all a little rude
where has all the wooing gone?
far and away, the flower's song...

~*~

The sing and song
of the righted wrong
entice one's belief
a heart's relief...

~*~

I think I like this one best.....but you know it is darn near impossible to pick a favorite with you.... they are all fantastic!

Seymour is an awesome poet, and your being so wonderfully inspired just proves it that much more

but dreams are good for our respite...

as is your poetry Karilea! I just love it when we're all loving each other...grin. So often this question is asked of writers:

"Where do you get your inspiration?"

The only thing I can come up with is "people". This is poetic proof. Applause for you and smiles to our darling seymour.

Karilea,
I have a brutal cold but place my tissue aside just to say,
I treasure with pleasure the write of this treasure. There can be no finer gift or up lift than this wonderful poem. You have shown me more grace than I can lace into this space and will answer somewhere somehow maybe from home.  I only wish the subject was as worthy as the poem. I will treasure this for as long as there is time to do so.
I will write you again as soon as I can clear my head. Love Sy

Karilea, this is sublime.  Seymour is indeed an inspiration and his poetry is always a heartful read.

Ditto.
And the same comment is applicable to the musings of Sunshine.

This was so enjoyable..like a mini book of inspiration.
Of course I have a favorite, though I love them all.
For with the princess and her prince
I am ever more convinced
that reality has its place, all right,
but dreams are good for our respite

Smiling..

Thank you, Poet-People, for sharing a bit of Sy with me.  He is SUCH an inspiration, and these were but bits of snippets in response to his marvelous poetry.  If you haven't caught him yet, please do so...he usually posts early in the a.m., before the birds are even up....

and believe me, he's WELL WORTH the read...
