The great emperor hath left his throne
but his powerful empire is sure to go on.
Always dictating with an iron fist,
oh my but the enemy couldn't resist.

The chapel belles are starting to crack,
but a strong leader this empire lacks.
Oh no,the great chapel on the hill has falling!
With screams and cries, his people are calling.

A great wrath has come over this city on the hill.
Oh how the enemy rejoices over this great kill.
Surely like the great babylon, the chapel has falling.
All the Gods lend a silent ear to its calling.

Only debris remains of this great chapel on the hill.
The rebuilding resting upon one young leader to deal.
For three days and three nights he constructs a plan.
The young emperor is now ready to take his stand.

Steve - I liked the topic in this write.  Like Noah, it brought me back to ancient times when empires were built on the conquest of others.  I was wondering if you were inspired to write this because you view yourself as the emperor of your household.lol
Nice writing.

Stevie,I would send you my sympathy on the downfall of the Tarheels but I just can`t find any.I really don`t dislike the Tarheels now that Dean Smith is gone.i think Matt Dougherty wiil get them going again.I really do hope he can.Of course you could always come over to my team. You would look good as a Blue Devil fan.

Love.

Isn't it amazing how history repeats itself
over and over through thousands of years of
time...  Well said...

Great to see you posting here Steve, and getting the point across that history does repeat! perhaps you meant to put was instead of has before falling, either that or has fallen?

Dearest Sodpossum, Only a Tarheel would be able to lament and weep over the falling of Chapel Hill. It pains our heart to watch. Once the great leader passed the torch, the flame has never been the same. Oh, that Dean would un-retire.  Love this, friend. Cheryl

Stevie darling boy big kiss I've no idea what this is about but it doesn't matter it's utterly utterly wonderful.

Since it's obviously not about the Roman Empire but a team your mama doesn't support. Am I right in saying it's likely to be about football or baseball. Neither of which I understand, but then I wouldn't I'm English. But that doesn't matter I don't understand English football or cricket either. Both of which I find as entertaining as watching paint dry

Well I would ask you to walk me through the differences between one and the other but it's all Greek to me.

Fabulous writing as always darling boy don't ever stop. now stop shaking darling boy I won't bite you..... well not yet anyway
