Precious Gems
By Larry Chadwick

I was reviewing the highlights of my life,
And found you there for most of them.
The sweetest moments of discovery,
Have been like collecting precious gems.

Then I was reviewing the rest of my life,
And there you were again.
The bitter moments purify like fire,
Refining those collected precious gems.

That’s the wonderful thing about my life,
That you are at its core.
Now I cherish all those precious gems,
What else is aging for?

Larry, great read.
's funny I always thought aging was so that the wrinkles would have a place to live. Oh well Cest la vie.

Larry darling boy this is UTTERLY UTTERLY fanbulous

Why is it that your writing is sooooo expressive? Well, whatever it is absolutely fabulous darling boy.

Yet again I find this consigned to oblivion in the outter reaches of space. Or in this case so far back that no one would find it without a hunt. I can't let these beauties disappear before they've been seen by the other seekers of beauty so I return it to the top of the first page. Never fear Larry darling boy my mission is to seek out the fallen gems And I will always find the good stuff

Sue,
That special someone is my wife. It has been a slightly bumpy but delightful ride, getting smoother every day! Thanks.

Keth,
As always, you crack me up. Love to see your name in my list of responses as I am assured of a smile, if not an outright guffaw! Bless you and thanks.

Mushy,
Where would I be without you? You sure put a lot of effort into your posts. Both in finding poems to respond to and the post itself. Your dedication is admirabley devout for all to see. Let's see...eight days?

You are definitely one of a kind and that "special someone" is very lucky.  Nicely done.

Karen,
You saw right through me. LOL Yup, I meant the rough times we have shared as well. Thanks for the little things you see.

Sy,
That makes us tempered, eh? Thanks Sy.

Victoria,
Too funny. Thanks for your humor. I enjoy it so much.

Noah,
From one gem to another gem...thanks.

Lyra,
You are always so kind. I suppose I have to make a private request to get lessons on images, eh?
