It seems the old aquaintance will
not go away from heartstrings still
though only sorrow does remain
of what was once loves special flame.

It haunts at times hard to ignore
like New Years eve, I once adored
this man so fiercely it was grand
to feel the slightest touch of hands.

It was ten years ago last night
we spent our first time, reaching heights
of understanding and of love
And now, whats left? There's nothing of..

A simple message on a screen
generic Happy New Years eve
it seems a crime to come to this
just memories of New Years kiss.

A sad but common theme.  Alas!  We will always have our past though.  That is forever safe inside.  Roger

Ahh, Sandra, there is much left..what is left is the YOU and your incredible talent. What is in the past is only to help us grow, and I feel you are doing a good job of that...very nice write...and, you know, even the sound of 2002 seems right...very gentle smile

Yes, sometimes the memories haunt for a very long time don’t they? Wonderfully written, but such sad reflection. Hugs to you sweetie, may the new year bring new happiness.

That was the best bottle of BOOZE you could of send me cause it didn't HURT a BIT!

Love ya so, so much, Cerenity

Sandra....I have said a prayer for you..
for all the other ladies...at PiP and else-
where that are going thru this same feeling.

Lady...you are not anywhere near middle
age...you just have to give yourself a
chance...you will find what you are looking
for...

Very sad write, Sandra.  Those memories can be haunting at times, but remember the best is yet to come.  Good expression.
