I want to thank you all for your warm welcome to this forum. With being so shy and timid about my poetry, you all really helped me out by being so supportive and encouraging to my writing. After posting my first poem, I've had many people ask me to write another, so I played with some ideas, and I finally came to this.It could you use some work, but that's where you come in.Help me become a better writer and let me know what you think.
At dusk

During the day, the bad feelings disappear
I'm warmed by the light,
the sunlight brings cheer
and all fears fade away

As dusk approaches,
as the sun slowly fades away
forgotten thoughts began to linger
in the darkening shadows of my mind.

By night I feel pain
The gossamer cobwebs fill my mind with nightmares
I can't sleep
I stay awake in bed
Horrors running through my head

During the day I'm alright,
but when darness rolls in
stay with me, hold me, tell me it is alright
don't leave me alone tonight

Oh Noelle I will hold you during the night, and keep those pesky nightmares away.  The horrors of darkness have a hold on many of us.  Superb poem Noelle!!!  You compare very well to your brother in your styles.  Awesome write, I am serious!

    I Love you
