Dominoes are falling
(I want for them to live)
Now I raise my fist to sky
and scream to God, "I can't forgive."

"I never wanted to be here,
in fact, I know I never have!
Why o why don't you take me?
Willingly, I would go glad..."

"Forgive me, my audacity.
I do not have capacity
to follow your intricacy
of all the tangled webs we weave."

How it hurts to be alone...
it pains to walk in flesh.
Perpetuating self-dispose.
This is HELL. There is no rest.

Sometimes I want to yell at God...then I realize that it is me that got myself into these situations...or is it him...James

(tears fall down my cheeks) So very sad, sweet friend, my heart cries out to the sorrow you feel and pray with all my heart that you will forgive Him in time, once His love heals you, for His love will never fail. (kiss on cheek) So sad but well-expressed, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

serenity - your pain is great. I yelled at God also a while ago. I never believed that he would answer me, but he did, and it did get better. Hang in there. Your writings are too beautiful to be so sad...

Serenity, this is an incredible poem.  I wanted to yell at God once but I was afraid he might yell back.

Sometimes, it's good to yell, gets all those feelings off your chest.

Spiritual without being preachy, I like it.

scream at heart's content
you will get better results
when down on your knees
following His directions
submitting yourself to Him

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

if god doesn't listen when we pray, why does he listen when we yell?
it's like mom never hearing a word ya say until ya let a swear word slip.

you're right about one thing:
There is no rest.

awesome write.

Powerful write here Karen!!  Just awesome!
Boy, have I done my share of yelling through the years....He did finally answer though,...in His own time.

Yes, there is much feeling in this, and much familiar.  Very good write.  If it helps any, you might consider yelling a prayer also.  (it may work, you never know).

Thanks to all...this was inspired both personally and by the movie, "The Apostle"--there is a scene where the Robert Duvall character is enraged, screaming at God as his mother gets a phone call from a neighbor complaining about the noise, and she told him. "Sometimes he talks to God, and sometimes he yells at God--tonight he happens to be yelling at God."

I thank you all for the caring and thoughtful replies--and in my scheme of things, if you are distancing yourself from whatever your spiritual God might be--you place yourself in Hell, that being the absence of "God." God(dess) does not forsake us--we forsake God.

End of speech...grin...thank all! Love you all much!

Karen, I have been there and done that...way too many times!  But in the end, I have found that the yelling never works.  God is going to do what she is going to do.
Within 14 months, from May of 99 to July of 00, my first husband died of cancer and my oldest son died tragically and suddenly.
But I believe that both of them are now guiding me from wherever their souls are resting.  They have both sent me unmistakeable signs.
Your poem was beautifully written.

serenity, I have to remember to end my prayers with " Thy will be done".  The asking is the easy part....the hard part is leting Him be in charge.  I know you will work it all out and I am sure He will know you are human and He made you.  Very good poem and as you can see, alot of us have been there!  ME
