~ Until The Stars Grow Dark ~
My entry into my own challenge

Until the stars grow dark and there is no more day
Until the moon turns black and the sun fades away
Until the earth stops spinning in time and space
Until the planets slow down and lose their place
I’ll love you until the end of time that’s eternity
Or until time should stop and suddenly cease to be
When the air catches fire and the seas dry to dust
I’ll be there right beside you. Why? Because I must

If there comes a time when the sky turns green
And from the deep in the earth things crawl unseen
If the oceans run dry and the sea doesn’t foam
And the rivers and the lakes decide that they will roam
If the birds leave the sky and don’t fly anymore
And what used to be your ceiling becomes your floor
Then and only then will my heart leave your side
For only then will I need to find a place I can hide

Until the fires grow cold and the wind doesn’t blow
Until the grass turns pink and the water can’t flow
Until the music is played on a stringless lute
Until you don’t need breath to play a flute
I’ll love you until the sun loses all trace of heat
Until the stars fall from heaven and my heart can’t beat
Until the air catches fire and the stars don’t glow
I’ll love you now and will ever love you so

Marsha

Floria darling girl yes indeed the challenge was to used those two lines in a poem. I'd actually used them already, I Thought I Knew...... And Now I Do But having given Keth the challenge in one of our chats, I thought I'd throw it open. The response has been amazing

Each of them are wonderful. Please take the challenge up I'd be really happy if you did

Mushy,
you write romance held by rainbow's delight
and only you can lift me up and get me through the night.
I love it.
Keth

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Keth darling sister of my soul and keeper of my hearts dreams YOU little fibber YOU know yours is utterly utterly gorgeous, and makes this look like something the cat dragged in.

If I didn't love you sister mine I'd be GREEN with envy as it is I do love you and I can't be jealous of you because is a candle jealous of the sun? Well, I suppose it might be but it would be pointless. So I'll be in awe instead

Shine on my incandescent sister shine on
