In The Kokapelli's Song

0 posted 2002-01-05 11:55 AM

As grander leaves shall fall
will you still challenge my love.
When fair skies slowly darken
and rain falls from above,
can you slowly close your eyes,
and in acceptance, tilt your head.
Let the pain be cleansed away
remembering what we said...

As we succomb into the darkness
of those things that cannot be.
If the night brings with it demons
can you fight them all with me.
Will you take my hand and lead
then allow me for a time,
until we beat this thing together
and life turns on a dime...

As the harvest moon shines down
in all its crimson glory,
will you dance in celebration
for the beginning of our story.
Can we turn away the past
that has haunted us thus far--
live our life with no regrets
and love him from afar...

As grander leaves shall fall
will you still challenge my love.
When dark skies slowly lighten
and the sun shines from above
can you slowly open your eyes
take the hand I offer you
and love me without fear
the way we were meant to.

I really like this, Heather, it's soft, delicate, romantic.
