What?

"This, then, is how you should pray: "`Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name," NIV Matthew 6:9

If God is a He
And God is my truest Love
What does that make me?

Does God make One Love
To divide in many ways
Connecting all life?

Is Father of Christ
Metaphor for a man's God
Chosen by dark men?

Why do we not pray?
Our God which art in Heaven
Did men choose the words?

Or did Christ just choose
Words that man would understand
In a bondage way?

Or, could it be true
That only men siring sons
Need God's chosen words?

If God is a He
And God is my truest Love
What does that make me?

What?

(sigh) Soooooooo wonderfully expressed, sweet friend, such wonderful questions fills your words that I know deep down we will find the answer to someday, though deep down I believe we are all sons and daughter sof His love and One Love and that we're all cradled with Him today with the words He wishes us to use. (big hugggssssss) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is wonderful! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Newell, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Newell,
it makes you a believer outside the constraints of our flesh.
Lovely poem and haven't we all asked the questions?

Newell - I think we all struggle with why we are here, and what our purpose is.  Hopefully, one day, we are able to find the answers to the questions you purpose.  Nice writing.

Thank you, Dave for dropping by. I know that there are many questions that we may never know the answers too. I raise the questions though to help shine light on darkness. Because darkened beliefs without challenge will continue causing people to slip and fall.

Whenever poeple close doors to truth, darkness keeps them from finding the True Light of God.

I would say it makes you a follower of God and a believer in Him, Sir.   Unconditionally as He would have it for you?   I enjoyed this. I notice you get your verses from the NIV version. I don't trust that version as much as the King James Version I've been raised on, but I won't be too quick to judge a book I've never read too thoroughly either.
Enjoyed the poem and your thoughts.

I am many.

Newell darling boy this was as usual for you utterly utterly wonderful. Its such a special read each word flowing into the next. No one writes the way you do darling boy nobody.

What does it make you? it makes you beloved of GOD and faithful and true. And I might add a wonderful writer and a fabulous man

Truly outstanding writing I love it  UTTERLY utterly fabulous.

Yes I know I always say that but then you always write to utter perfection

Are you wonderful? Is the sky still the home of the sun, does the sea still lap the shore? Then yes darling you are wonderful

Love and warm stuff
As always

Thank you, Siofra, for your kind thoughts.

Yes, I am a believer, called of God to write poetry.

Why the NIV. Going back to the Greek and Hebrew sources, it appears that the NIV is less corrupted than the King James Version. The King Jamees translators seem to have added in a few things that were not in the origingal Hebrew and Greek transcripts. My brother, a theologan and an astute student of scripture pointed this out to me about two years ago. It took me over a year to accept his conclusion.

So now I use about six different versions but quote the NIV unless addressing questions put forth to me from a different version. Then I always try to use the version the person questioning is using.

Thanks for asking the question.

Mushy, darling girl. Your words continue to flow as fine honey to my soul. I am deeply humbled and honored by your very, very kind praise. When you say I am wonderful, darling girl, could it be that you are merely looking into a mirror, and seeing yourself? For, you my dear Mushy, are the wonderful one. I love you sweet Mushy
