Anywhere But Here / Beneath These Same Old Stars

Wishing I was somewhere else,
Wishing I was someone else
I'd rather be anywhere but here

Tonight I felt the stars shine down on me
They shined for different reasons
I felt like the only one who had nobody else

Everybody has someone else
Anybody has sombody else
Except me

What difference does it make
To tell the pain of what I feel
Sometimes it just doesn't

Sometimes I sit beneath the same old stars
That pass me by when I'm alone
The same old stars that shine when I am not

So what if this is a blackout?
Can you take those stars from above my head -
Without taking more than that?

What if you were still my friend?
Would it have changed what I said
If it had I'd be just as lonely as you

Sometimes its hard to say something that makes sense,
Even harder to mean something,
What difference does it make anyway..

Tonight you inspired me,
As I sat beneath these same old stars
That saw me cry before.

Life changes, but I'll always feel the same
Beneath these same old stars
Beneath this same old sky

So lock me in
If you stab me in the dark, close my eyes,
Will I still feel as much pain?

Look me in the eyes and tell me I'm wrong
It's not that hard
Sometimes the truth hurts, it always does.

Is it worth running from yourself?
You've travelled so far
You say we've come a long way

And you packed your bags,
And told me you would never leave
It's funny how things change

Will a poisoned rose wilt away just as any other?
a poisoned soul will tell no toll
until my time is up

but from all that dies, blossoms something new,
something fresh, and I'll still feel the same -
Beneath these same old stars.

Jaded - Truly a sad write.  The pain of lost love and being all alone is really felt in your words.  Nicely done.

Faded.
Welcome to Passions. This is a heartbreaking write, here is a piece of advice for you don't look to the stars look for the dawn of a new day inside your heart...It will come.
Kethry

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

This was such a beautiful yet sad write.  We must have been on a similar wave length as I have just posted one about the pain of losing a love and the loneliness felt.  I hope another love adorns your heart and makes your star studded sky sparkle once more.

Take care......Sue

(tears fall down my cheeks) Sooooooo very heartbreaking, sweet friend, my heart goes out to you and I pray with all my heart that love will come touch your heart again soon and fill you with joy! I echo Kethry's advice, don't look to the stars but look to a brand new day, for the sun will again rise in your heart! We all love you so much, sweet friend, God Bless You! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
