for trimming laces,

They
never lash properly -
I wind up
in knots.

of bending over
to fasten

that never stay

barefoot.

Corinne I love the poem. And? I love going barefoot so much that I wear these, well, they are macrame' strings--and from the top, they look like sandals...but my feet still connect with the earth nicely beneath! (shoes without soles...)

Wiggling my toes here, corinne...nice!

My toes wriggled happily when I read this. But for now, I'll keep my shoes on, it's zero outside. Of course, this is more about unfettered 'freedom' than about feet.
