In my dreams I see you
you say you are still here
you say that Dad is with you
you tell me not to fear

in my dreams I see you
alive and full of fun
downloading music that you love
from mp3.com

in my dreams I see you
treating patients needing care
a stethescope slung round your neck
your tawny, touseled hair

in my dreams I see you
I wish you still were here
instead, I waken from my sleep
my mind awash with fear

so vivid was your manner
your voice and look so real
I question, did I dream you
and will this hurt ever heal?

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Lyra, this is soooooooo beautiful but I could feel such sadness in the end, my heart goes out to you and I know deep down he will always be with you in your heart and will always love you for who you are, and may these memories forever bring smiles to your face! (kiss on chek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, I am always here for you if you need someone to talk to, my heart is with you always! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lyra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

So well done.. I could feel the emotions..

There is sadness but also hope.. and that's the beauty of it, the hope

Memories are, at times, simultaneously painful and wonderful.  Soon the pain will diminish leaving more room for happy reflection.

He is still with you bringing you love. Only spirits are alive. Some day you'll understand why we sometimes part for a short time. This is very, very beautiful, Madame.
Thank you for sharing it.

Dear Lyra,
It doesn't take you 3 lines to have me crying. I don't suppose such a hurt could ever heal. If I lost one of my boys I don't think I'd survive it. I admire your courage.

Oh Lyra, I think the hurt never goes away, nor missing them. But I think we get stronger every day with faith and love and writing as you are doing. This was a very beautful poem. I could just see him. you are always in my prayers. floria

Thanks so much, Noah...for your very sweet answer.  I have no idea what happens to someone after they die...but I hope that the dream is true.

Thanks so much, Interloper, you are right.
The sadness already co-exists with the beautiful memories of my son.

Newell, thanks for your reply...and I sure hope that you are right about being apart for only a short time...although, I hope its not TOO short, because I kind of still like this life, here on earth.

Thanks so much, Nan...I don't think I'm brave,  My life just happened in that way and I just have to accept it because theres nothing else I can really do about it. Its one of the hardest things...to lose a child.
But thanks for your gracious compliment as well as for the reply.
