....hi i'm Mark Coburn a wire sculptor/performance poet-musician living in the Highlandtown Arts District....Baltimore,Md.....USA
....this is a piece I wrote on dec. 24 2001
feeling the love.....I did it last night and thursday night to the tune Angie (hey!that's what these 2 guitar players know)and it works... last night we had a fiddle player...and yeah I play my double valve auto-harp (sounds like an organ) C harp.....
here we go ......

------Caballos Loco-------

Wildhorses
couldn't drag
me away from
this feeling.
Yeah! might say,
"I'm reelin'"
Warm feelin'coming
from the plexus
of my inner being.

Wildhorses
runnin' no floating
cross the open plains,
trying to wash...write
away a bit of pain,
the thing that's
waiting round
the next bend.

Wildhorses
No dragging me
away this time,
never going to worry
if I've passed my prime,
think I'll take a sip
(smack my lips)*
of this fine white wine

Wildhorses
take a chance
call it Love.....
and when you and her
are crying
drink the tears.....
they are from
Heaven up above.........Mark

Welcome to Passions! You sound very "rounded" in the world of artistry...so I think you will like it around here! Please check your E-mail for a Special Greeting!

Mark, welcome to Passions! It sounds as if you are having fun with words and music. I used to play the autoharp. It's really a cool instrument. Oops, but are you referring to the gizmo most people call a harmonica? I did recognize the opening line (with one minor addition), as performed by The Rolling Stones (Keith Richards and Mick Jagger) in their "Wild Horses" song. Yet it's a fairly common phrase, one my dad probably used before the Stones were even born. Rock On, and have fun here at Pips.

Watch them wild horses…you never know where they’ll take you.
Wildhorses
take a chance
call it Love.....

Been pondering that one myself today. Sometimes it’s scary to take the chance…sometimes it’s exhilarating. I like your poem, like the thoughts it brought out. Welcome to passions, hope we’ll see more.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?
