(I wrote this in half-an-hour during my insomniac period. Off to bed for me now! (smiles) I hope you like it!

R.E.M
By: Noah Eaton
1/1/02

Heathered alpine meadows kneel before my knees
Onyx paisley clouds drift through the rosewood bank
This jaunting incandescence shimmers as my bangs sway in the wind
All my muses come together like strands of pearls and I wear them in fine array

I jargonize what only the wind can speak under this Joshua Tree
A jurant of insomnia to the search of a simpler notion
And now I’m serving time tying these epitaphs of resolutions together
Renovating kennings and filling the caesuras of my dreams in motion

This is not just another epigram
Dream Weaver, send me another telegram
To all these things I’ve never seen
These things that I’ve dared to believe…

Pieces of verse become interwoven in His advocacy
In this field of jasmine I lie, in a veil of blackberry sage
I wear crystals in the corners of my eyes, my muse becomes abstemious
These intimate thoughts and visions become each dreams mucilage

This is all just a sanctuary in the heart where we all commune
As my eyes are shut in slumber, I am never asleep
My spirit is like a barn owl, embracing the stars of the skies
I never sleep, I dream

This is not just another epigram
Dream Weaver, send me another telegram
To all these things I’ve never seen
These things that I’ve dared to believe…
As my eyes drift on in dreams
Relentlessly…
Peacefully…
Happily…

"All my muses come together like strands of pearls and I wear them in fine array"

Words such as these should awaken the muses in all of us. THis is beautiful writing, my friend.
Your poetic talents are on display
Take care

Theres some absolutely beautiful imagery in this one, Noah...but you are much too young to be having insomnia.
