Deep in the heart

0 posted 2002-01-03 10:03 AM

A kiss,
shared
one early morn,
sealing
a wonderful night
of promise
and ardor.
A wisp
Of thine hair
Falls o’er thine eye
And I see thy
face above mine.
I tell thee of my love
while moving
the wayward wisp
from thy forehead
and place my lips
thereon.
Thence
to thy nose
I tarry a while.
Onward,
below, and
thy warm lips
promising mine.
My heart
seeking thine.
Bodies and souls
entwined
in a love knot,
an eternal
bond.
The cock crows
and I must
withdraw
from thy presence
already missing thee,
hungering for
reunion
this eve.
Fare thee well,
My love,
‘til eve’s dusk
falls o’er
our downy
coverture.

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
