If you are the roots;
then I am the flower
growing with your strength,
your nourishment streaming
through me.You are strong.
Sending tendrils of life,
roots down deep into
the rich soil
of my heart, my soul.
And, I have grown
from a tiny, folded bud
into a fully blossoming Rose.
All the while...believing in
the roots that so deeply
anchor me in love.

For, you are the roots
and I am the flower
both of us having beauty
~~~~~seen and unseen
with the warmth of the Son
turning our faces upwards

~~pointed towards a new day~~

(sigh) Sooooooo beautiful, sweet friend, may the love of your life forever hold loves roots strong to your heart and may you forever bud true happiness like the sweet rose you are to us all! Ivy Rose, this is just beautiful and of course my favorite line is "the warmth of the Son." The most essential element for the flower to bloom, don't you think? Cheryl

Very beautiful Ivy Rose.

Loved the connection between the roots and rose, after all you can't have one without the other. What I liked best was what you said about the anchor. I think we all wish to be attached, and have someone to keep us steady.
