I’m your biggest fan
and though I owe
much more than a poem
a poem is what I can give

all yours
to put in a frame
or fold into a drawer
carry with you
till it yellows and fades

a poem
just for the sake of saying

you are a door that’s always open
to my heart
you are a one women riot
who makes me laugh when I don’t want to
you write words
I didn’t know I needed to hear
you see the best in me
when I am being much less

you are
my poetry

Do you have any idea how much I love this?  Yes, I think you do. You’ve left me speechless. Now there’s something I bet you never thought you’d hear me say!! This is beautiful Dunc, just beautiful. Thank you for this, and I will treasure it even after it yellows and fades.

Oh, this is so beautifully worded. If I were someone's poetry I'd feel so complimented! To be an inspiration like that would be an honor! I hope this person realizes that! I really enjoyed reading this. Well done!

If my love gave me a gift such as this, I'd be completely satisfied.  Wonderfully written, I loved it!

Well, I certainly do miss your work, Sir. Not that you haven't been writing. I've just been absent. This is wonderful, and I know just that someone I could dedicate this poem to.

this is the kind of stuff I should
write for a lady, I hope she liked it,
I'd fall flat on my face if I tried something like this, but you seem to
be doing fine!!!

Very nicely written, like where this one ends up.  Great Work
