In the window
darkly cleared
seeing footprints
just appeared.

What could be
this mystery,
in this dark box
I could see?

Watching moonlight
grow so fast
telling the time
that midnight has passed.

Watching cats go by,
that's the footprints
that I see with my eye.

In the window
darkly cleared,
seeing footprints
just appeared

Hello Alicia
Such a lovely picture you have painted with your words.  I was amazed to see you are only 9 years old and you should be so very proud of your writing.  I have no doubt you have a very long future in writing and I wish you all the very best.  I'll look forward to reading more of your work.
Take care.....Sue

Brava, Miss Alicia! I toss roses at your feet! You are a very talented young lady--my daughter is 10 and writes poetry too, maybe you two could become poetry pen pals? If your mom says it's okay, let me know. I would love to see a duet by the two of you. (I used to write with your Mom all the time.)

Keep up the good work!
