Dream Weaver's Silent Kiss

Tired and lonely on this warm summer night
she goes to bed only to toss and turn
as her spirit seeks to free itself
and search in quest of the one who
touches the deepest parts of her soul

Finally she drifts off allowing the fantasy
to take her to a place where her heart
can feel the presence of the man
of her dreams waiting with open arms
to hold her safe from all harm

Touching the edge of her senses she feels
the faintest of caresses as if from
her lover bending over her breathing gently
on her while she is in restful sleep

With a sigh she lets her senses open
to the presence she is sure will vanish
if she opens her eyes and turns her face
towards the gentle breeze that caresses her

A shiver of delight flows from her head
to her toes as she feels the loving fingers
move softly down her hair to the softness
of her throat bringing a gasp of pleasure from her lips

As her lips part she feels the flutter of
a tender kiss that holds all the promise
of love and sensuality that she has
always dreamed of having in her life

Drinking deeply of the sweet kiss that
sets her heart beating with need and desire
she is again tempted to open her eyes and
see the reality of this tender moment

She feels strong arms pull her to the chest
of this silent lover who has come to her
in a dream so real that she can smell the
wonderful masculine odor of his warm skin

Lost in the feel, taste and smell of him
she melts into his body as he takes
the kiss deeper laying claim to her
in the most intimate kiss she has ever had

She feels a sense of loss as he pulls away
from her laying her back on her bed and whispers
in a voice that vibrates through her heart and soul
that he will always be there to meet her in her dreams

With a warm glow of pleasure she opens her eyes
from this dream of dreams and sighs holding tight
to the sound of his voice as a silent tear runs
down her cheek and she gives thanks to Dream Weaver
for weaving her a dream that touched reality
in the magic of a silent kiss

What a dream!?

I'm not sure if the dream weaver is the good one here in weaving this almost real dream or it's simply you.....

Thank you

Elizabeth...I am so glad you liked this one. I have over 30 Dream Weaver poems similar to this this one. On some boards I am known for my Dream Weavers. **hugs**

My Enchanted_Melody...*grin* each Dream Weaver is based on a part of me...these are just visions and dreams that I have. I am so glad you like it. **hugs**

walker...I do not know of a poetess named dreamweaver but since I first started writing I have written Dream Weavers. I love the fantasy of them. I am so glad you liked this one. **hugs**

Balladeer...*grin* I am sure your dreams were woven with much more heat in them but I am glad you were able to enjoy this one. **hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Bill...I am so glad you enjoyed the silent kiss. *grin* it is the only kind I have so it is right that I should write about them. **hugs**

Lauren...If one must get lost I can think of no better way. I am really glad you liked this dream. **hugs**

James...*giggling* that is too funny.....but I know just what you mean.   sometimes I wake up kissing my body pillow. Somehow it just isn't the same. **hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
