There are times when words can't say the feel,
the comfort wish, in want to send.
Times of loss, in moments of
the hurt inside, to you my friend.

It's more than one should need endure
this time of year, meant to be shared.
Times when nearness, arms in hold
should cushion you, this unprepared.

These times, the distance, felt this day
seems longer than my arms extend.
Times of you, compassioned with
I grieve, lament, with you my friend.

Maureen

A very thougtful write. This time of year can be very difficult for a variety of people, those who suffered loss or whose background would stir memories of less kind holiday seasons past.

This is sweet, and I'm sure your friend appreciates the kind intent of your thoughts.

What's that saying, "birds of a feather,"...know when to read words that will lift them again...

this is lovely, as is the gesture...well done, little one...

Maureen, a compassionate write.  Well done!

When a poet use their gift to offer compasion and understanding to another then it is a treat indeed and that is exactly what this is.  Beautiful heartfelt sentiments here and well expressed.

A wonderful poem that touches the heart of the reader and reminds us that during this season there are those who do not have the joy of being in the arms of loved one. Thank you. **hugs**

What can I say. *watery smile*

I am truely blessed to have you as my caring, sympathetic friend, M. Your thoughts, your prayers, your touching poem, your hugs...all are cherished.

Saying the words Thank You seems to be a small gesture but believe me they carry much meaning and come from the bottom of my heart.

RSWells, serenity, Sunshine, Interloper, Mark Bohannan, Startime, Dusty Rhodes...
A very special poet friend opened her heart and house to me in a time of need. I can't offer her my home at the moment, but I can  open  my heart and thought and prayers during her time of loss. I will never forget
the time shared nor the caring offered from a wonderful  family that helped me through a rough couple of days. *s

Chanson, sometimes when you meet on here you assume from words the kind of person one is. You were then, and you are in real...a true friend. And I thank you for that friendship, it brings me great pleasure sharing with you and your family. *s

hugssss back
