In early morning stillness
Snow powdering window’s view
Heart lost in flurry
Swirling thoughts of you

Intimate recollection
With sips from warm brew
Stirring, recomposing
Old memories made new

Silent echoes reach out
Call in reminding pursue
This aching, this wanting
Will never be through

Anticipating, contemplating
All I should do
Preparing for storm
About to ensue

Dressing in layers
Wishing to subdue
These wintering remembrances
Of when I loved you

Nice working the feel of the metaphor, I think I actually felt a chill and could just "see" you staring out of the window, lost in thought. Great job with this one, Sue!

This is excellent writing Sea...
very cool rhyme scheme, vocab, phrasing and use of imagery and the incoming season to express the emotions...
I for one am greatly enjoying watching your poetry mature and seeing you reach deep for the words.

As for that ache?

*sigh* the magic of snow brought back magical memories of love for you. How very beautiful this poem is. I love it. It has such a wishful feel to it.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

SEA, the longing in this brings back memories of someone I wish was a lot closer. Thank you, I enjoyed.
