Turning now to go
I smile at your confusion
I do apologize my friend
For my unwanted intrusion

I thought the signals meant
You wanted me to speak
Now I see that I misread you
Pardon me for being weak

The road ahead is clear now
I must walk it alone again
And though we won’t be lovers
I will always call you friend.

this path i too walked
in times not long preceeding
you say you were weak
yet i see only your strength
expressed by your honest words

Loved this, sometimes it takes more strength to walk away than it does to stay.

Yep, it takes more strength to walk away. Great expression, Sharon.
