My friend, I know that on this day
A lighthouse is needed to show the way
Through the fog of the past
Where memories lay at last

No one ever knows exactly why
Death reaches down from the sky
To take those we hold most dear
Realizing our deepest darkest fear

Being left here on our own
So many dreams left unsown
There is nothing we can do
Except say that we are here for you

Whenever you need a friend
Whose love will never end
Knowing that you can trust
Any time you feel you must

My thoughts are close tonight
Carried to you through moonlight
Reaching out to your heart
Hoping to ease the aching part

This one goes out to my dear friend, Irish Rose, who lost her mother 29 years ago today.  You are in my thoughts and prayers as always, hon.  Love you.

No matter how many years pass.. filled with both good and bad...Memories of a lost loved one stand out with clear perception.. like a terrible movie on a screen. And even though the grief may fade.. the pain never goes away.

Good write my friend.. I liked the lighthouse.. I have a lighthouse friend myself... and though she would never take the praises.. I hold her in the highest regard.. she did for me at sixteen years old..(when my mother died) what I know for a fact no Grown-up stepped forward to do.. she held my hand.

Remember me with a smile on your face, or please don't remember me at all.

A beautiful and heartfelt poem that shows how much you care for her. My heart goes out to her for her loss. **hugs** for both Irish Rose and for you for the compassion and love you show her.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Lucie: The is everlasting, especially on the day you lost them.  You are so right there.  Sometimes all we need is for someone to just quietly hold our hand so we know they are near to us.  That simple gesture can speak a thousand words in my opinion.  Thank you for reading.

Karen: I care for her very much so.  She is a remarkable person and wonderful friend.  I just wanted her to know she's not alone today.  Thank you much.

Kathleen: You are welcome, sweetheart.  I know it's not an easy day, but you will get through it.  ((((hugs))))
