Some Paths

Some paths are like a thorny rose
That thwarts a close yet please the nose
They victimize the eye in hue
And sometimes end in midnight blue.

Some paths are lit with stars of light
That twinkle joy into the night.
That holds you in a trance of dance
That takes you step by step to chance.

And music plays on heated breeze
That titillates your heart in please
And magnifies the light of night
To falsely sate the sight to bright

I’ve wondered down this roads duello
And touched the bare of fair and mellow.
And gave a piece of soul each dole
That left my heart with less than whole.

Yet still I wander down this path
Naked, ready, a lover’s bath

with sing of song and lilt of rhyme
I read you every single time
you wend your way into my art
as Keeper of this poet's heart...

so bathe away in glorious glee
as long as it brings us poetry...

me

I would wait till the end of time for you,
Then do it all again ... it's true.
I can't measure my love for you,
There's nothing to compare it to.

Another classic, Sy...  both to your "Syle" and for us traditionalists to savour.  Much enjoyed.
