A Christmas Sonnet

If I could wish upon the Christmas Star
That shone on Bethlehem at Jesus' birth,
I'd join humanity in Peace on Earth
And scatter messages of Love afar.

If I could gather throngs of yuletide cheer,
I'd use them to adorn our world with mirth
As festive garland wrapped about her girth,
Embracing Love and Peace both far and near.

If I could add a gift to Santa's sleigh,
I'd circle all the world by Christmas Day;
Give those in need protection from the cold,
A warming Afghan tatted in the fold.
If I could give to all I would bequeath
One humankind within a Worldly Wreath.

This indeed
is the message
we need to
travel freely
'round the globe
for all humanity
to read.

The reference to the warming Afghan made my heart skip a beat. PEACE to you, and everyone on Earth.

Merry Christmas, Nan.  At this very moment I am already planning another trip to Cape Cod to visit my relatives

(big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, if I could, I would help everyone I can in the world and bring them holiday cheer and hope! (sigh) The most I can do is go to the rescue mission and feed hungry families like I did for the homeless and I also helped the Salvation Army. (kiss on cheek) Sooooooo compassionate, sweet friend, you are a true angel to us all! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! (big hugggsssss) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Nan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
