Where I Would Lie

I’d vie the corner of your eye
Beneath your gentle breathe of sigh
And offer you, bouquets of word
Full of praise and sweet absurd

I’d ring your head with rainbow hue
Paint each day your wings anew
And brew you nectar from my mind
With all the sweet that I could find

I’d toll you rings in flowing chime
In colored phrase that rope in rhyme
And call to you, to come and sit
And sip the nectar of my wit.

I’d fly with you the skies of blue
Into a fantasy come true.
And ring you with forever’s band
Of flowers set in timeless sand

Come near and be my butterfly
And hover me, where I would lie.

Nan,
It is only fair to say you are the butterfly that brought me here and I do lay beneath the corner of your eye. *L*

Sudhir,
Thank you my friend.

It's chocolate chips

Good grief Stinky...again I say have mercy!!
You make it real hard to pick fave lines...
jeepers creepers ya make it hard to do anything but sigh
With word bouquets like this were gonna call you the Poetry Florist. *L*
This is so lovely Sy...the imagery and the intend.
That closing couplet has me picturing Randy laying in a field of daisies plucking petals
while a butterfly lands on his nose (teehee)
Me thinks where ever you might lie ...along would come the butterflies.

I enjoyed your rhyme, especially this...
