you pause breathing silence then quietly you make your request taking me off-guard "dont give up on me..." i find it hard to give up on the people in my life-- i'll not give up on you i have faith in you... but i'll not wait too long for love... i know the right love will one day find me but i must be in the right place lest i miss my cue and have to wait until love comes around again... please dont ask me to stand still... its something i wont ask my heart to do again... i'll be here when you call for me but i'll not chase you-- love wouldnt ask that of me... -dgvarner 11-15-01 ~dgvarner/fallen rain~ |

Dear, thanks for sharing this!! It's really some kind of wake up call for me too... I guess I have to move on with life, coz it's useless to mope around and think of things that could've happened... "i must be in the right place lest i miss my cue and have to wait until love comes around again..." "i'll be here when you call for me but i'll not chase you-- love wouldnt ask that of me..." And I totally agree with the last bit there. |

This is lovely. It reminds me of the early days of my relationship with my new hubby. It took him a while to realize what I knew from the beginning...that we were meant to be. I bided my time, pursued other interests, but didn't give chase. And we all know our story had a happy ending. Hope it works out for you as well! |
