A Womans Prayer

  Dear Lord,
    Let me Live
     Let me Laugh,
      And let me Die.
   But Dear God,
       Never let me love.

Welcome to Passions Sonya.  Yes indeed, sometime love can be hard.......but it is always worth it.  Wonderful first post.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

A beautiful first post, indeed!  Welcome to Passions!  Please, check your E-mail for a special Greeting!

I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

Welcome to Passions...this has a tinge of sadness and heartache to it.

Welcome, Sonya. But I'm betting you'll be writing love songs before the year is out.    Even when it hurts all over, inside and out, there's nothing on the planet that can top LOVE.

When you've gone through a lifetime of hurt sometimes it's hard to love, but know this. From someone who has been hurt time and time agian over the years and being as young as I am I am realizing that love is what helps me through everyday.Great first write and welcome.

*sigh* I can easily understand this poem. I write much of love but am so afraid to let myself love again. I too pray that my heart never has to feel such pain as love has to give again. Wonderful writing. Welcome to Passions. I know you will feel embraced by all the wonderful poets here.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

I feel that this speaks for many women. . . not just one. . .

you write the feeling well. . . hopefully, this is a prayer that will never be answered. . .

welcome. . . hope to see more of you soon. . .
