The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2001-10-05 10:00 PM

He walks two steps forward, backwards three
as he wonders what he wants from me
To forget him and the love we've known
or to come back and renew seeds sown?

He's insecure, does he really want
to bend his will, allow hearts absconce?
Open the door he once closed so tight
or continue to live empty nights?

Not alone we, just lonely in truth
for chance to love as we did in youth.

Lovely sweet and very poetic I like it esspecailly since I have a few uncertainties of my own. Well done.

Sounds as though he is doing the dance of life here.  Grab hold and waltz him into  the moonlight.  Lovely write here Sandra.

So much pondering in this write. But uncertainties are worth taking a chance on.

He walks two steps forward, backwards three
as he wonders what he wants from me

I love those lines

I'll be the first to tell you that it's worth the chance. . .

wonderfully done, and it's normal. . .

You've captured this heartening dilemma beautifully Sandra ... it is so easy to go back to what is comfortable, yet so difficult to know if it is right. Very well written.

Best wishes,
/Kit
