I Kiss Her Eyes

A friend,
I place my hand upon her cheek,
then kiss her eyes.

Yes, we’re close.
She knows me well.

A tender embrace,
a longing glance,
escaping sighs,
but still,
a friend
and still,
I kiss her eyes.
