where insanity meets breeding

I have no feelings any more
I swear my heart walked out the door
Feel nothing now, my soul is dead
Empty thoughts inside my head
Even you the great love of my life
For you I cannot even write
My pen is lost, the ink is dry
Oh God, how I wish I could cry
Emotions. Now where did they go?
Even the ones that laid me low
I really want to feel again
Come back my heart, and be my friend
I had a heart, I had a soul
On the path of life they missed a road
My heart got lost, my soul did too
Maybe they weren’t being used
I don’t want love, I’m done with that
I threw that ball, it missed the bat
Well, maybe no, that isn’t true
One day I’ll love, just don’t know who
Maybe feeling will come back
I'm still young, still time for that
The numbness. Will it dissipate?
I hope that it won't be too late

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

A well written purge, Tracey!
Gosh, if only you knew how much this speaks of me.

Take care,

"I threw the ball, it missed the bat"...what a wonderful line....

What a beautiful picture, Tracey! The batter must have been blind...

I believe the bat holds some responsibility in this.  Unfortunately (lol), love is like riding a bike, you can't forget how to do it even if you try.

Ah, Bal and Duncan, you're both so sweet. And Duncan, you're absolutely right with the bike analogy. No doubt I will fall again. Just seems a little safer to stay off the bike for a while

nice rhyming, Tracey, I  enjoyed many lines..but you know what, we have no control over loving nor being loved....in some ways that's good, for when it happens it's a nice surprise.*s

Sometimes that special love you once had for that special someone...just dies or becomes tucked away in the pages of your life. It has to be nurtured and caressed to grow. Plant your seed in the light of someone that will see it as the rose it is. You are not done yet!

Sincerely,
Regina

Tracey
What a heartbreaking piece of writing you have penned from your wonderful palette of words.  This one touched my soul and made me feel so sad for you, such power I felt from your words.  I hope love adorns your lovely heart once more and brings back your wonderful smile.  Take care......Sue
