This is a repost from many moons ago. It is a special answer in my life.

There lies a little island
Just off the coast of your heart
Here is where I waited for you
As I watched you fall apart

You came to the shores of sorrow
And cast them in, one at a time
I tried to comfort you with breezes of love
But you let them blow right by

One morning I sent a rainbow
To greet you, in the sea spray
But just before the colors burst forth
You turned your back and walked away

I've seen you cry, both day and night
So I sent my truth upon wings
But you ran away, you were afraid
And you hid in your suffering

I sent you a message in a bottle
My words of love I insribed
Day after day, it weathered and lay
In the forgotten sands of time

You came to the shores of loneliness
And cried out in the moonlight
I sent shooting stars to accompany you
But despair had made you blind

You Pounded the beach with anger
And stirred the ocean's wrath
And when you were spent, and did not relent
I put treasures along your path

I saw you once, on the very edge
High up on the rocky cliff
I knew what you were thinking, and still
I held you steadfast in your step

You walked into the sea of cold
From betrayal and disgust
I washed you gently to the shore
And still you refused me of trust

You built a great tower, up on high
And in it, a beacon was lit
I thought you were finally looking for me
But instead it was just the ship

Still you came to the shoreline, and I
Sent you a gift afloat
I wanted you to see, that I'd relieve thee
If you'd have faith and hope

I gave you a tiny vessel
In which you could gracefully sail
Over to me, even through the rough seas
Evil would not prevail!

Still, you questioned the journey
And doubted the strength of the craft
But you climbed aboard with nothing to lose
And I sent swift winds to your back

You clung to the bow before you
Knowing not, where you would go
The ocean tossed you about for days
But you found me in your soul

Oh, my child I embrace you
And welcome you to my home
There is peace, in and around you
Nevermore, will you be alone

There are people all among us
That have braved the sea of life
Welcome to Paradise Island!
I've been waiting for you, my child

This is simply breathtaking. Another great story from your pen again. And a good lesson about life and spirituality. Wonderful

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Those most resistant to love are so often those most in need of it.  Loved this, Regina.

Beautiful, Regina. Too many times we can't see what's right there before our eyes...

Regina - This is very beautiful for the love and caring you show here.  You truly have the soul of a poet.  What a wonderful experience it must be to have you around all the time.

Tracey: I appreciate you so much. You words are so dear to me. Thank you for being so constant!

Duncan: Yes..so true..circumstances that close our hearts and eyes. Thank you for being here.

Balladeer: We miss so much don't we. The hard way is so hard. I greatly appreciate your vision!

LngJhnAg: Some may argue that reply.. but those kind of words always make me try harder than ever. Thank you!

Catalinamoon: Thanks for not tiring of my spilling pen. It helps me to give. I'd feel guilty otherwise from drawing so much inspiration.

Sue: Likewise sweet Lady! The feeling is mutual every time I read your verse.

Sincerely,
Regina
