If I had to put into words the pain
That one nation has had to share
I forever will think of the day
Terror rang from the air

My vision forever will be filled
With towers so high and tall
That in moments too few to realize
Before our eyes did fall

As I watched in disbelief our country
Torn apart at the seams
With images of those so brave
And hear all of the screams

I’ll never again take for granted
This land that is proud and free
For the reality of what we share
Is now so real to me

My life as those near and far
Has changed forever from this day
But we stand united and I understand
What it is that makes us this way

And like the song that stays in my heart
About our pride and the land of the free
I will never forget those who died
As I lived part of history

And I will stand up even taller now
For we truly are the home of the brave
The flag the flies in our skies
Forever in my heart will wave

And I will support my brothers and sisters in arms
And teach my children of our wonderful land
Because though they tried to make us fall
America the Beautiful forever will stand.
