Alone, Always Alone by Michael The stars have lost their lure. The night no longer sings. It's only blackness, filled with tiny, icy lights that no longer beckon. Alone, always alone, he knows the darkness permeates and feeds on him. Alone, he knows that sadness does the same. It's become a symbiotic relationship and the only way he knows. His thoughts are crippled, yet each day he rises to squint against the glare of another sun and goes on, because this is life and this one's his. |

"Starry, Starry night" Do you remember Don McLean's song about Vincent Van Gogh? Maybe thinking of this song will be some small comfort on those lonely nights. I know it often helps me.
