stand in the rain
drown in false pain
hear sirens and wonder
can't the rain put out the fire?
the victim needs fuel
not a villain but a tool
alarm clock thunder
to mute would-be desire
whine through illusions of prison gates
dream of a dreadful state
to replace this unfortunate life
of perfection and love
imagine that pain will unleash
what whispers beneath the peace
for beauty must live in strife
and the drama beheld above
poor uncherished muse!
YOU are the one who can choose
will the rain put out the fire
or will the fire put out the rain?

no i will NOT wait three seconds!

well done. . .

I love the polar opposites here. . .

"will the rain put out the fire
or will the fire put out the rain?"

I like this... a lot of thought went into this writing and a lot of us will think on it. Well done
