All of the tears that I have cried
have washed upon the sands of time,
some of them were so painful
and some were so sublime.

First they floated out to sea
mixed with the emotions of my life,
some so full of happiness
and others so full of strife.

Gently stirred by the currents
they flowed their separate way,
but the memories that they came from
are embedded in my heart to stay.

They traveled upon a journey
to make sense of reason and rhyme,
but they've come to rest upon the shore
buried forever in the sands of time.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.
