On A Journey To The Unknown

0 posted 2001-09-27 10:57 AM

Love is something to stay away from
Then the pain will never come
So many times I tried
Too many times I cried
In one way or another
Me, he always did smother
Not always from a pillow
He wasn't very mellow
Many times I was used
Too many times I was abused
A hostage he always did keep
So many times I did weep
Couldn't leave when he was there
His abuse he never did spare
Locked me in the house one day
So I couldn't get away
He even held a knife on me
I was so afraid you see
Had to leave while he was at work
Glad I could get away from the jerk

I know how difficult it can be to leave those you love, but sometimes we just have to don't we . Great poem, thanks a lot .

"He even held a knife on me."  I believe that is a criminal offense.   James
