(This is dedicated to the children of the September 11 crisis, a prayer for them all of love and hope)

Dandelions Bow Before Rainbows
By: Noah Eaton & Samantha G. Kennedy
9/19/01

Frozen rainbows linger over an ostracized honeymoon
Blue balloons slip from where young children's hands lose clasp of their dreams
Tears sip the ashes, hoping such a blessing would sprout
Would trustfulness reconnoiter with their reality?

Don't close the door on me, I can hear it all , transparent
embrace the children, reserve them , deliver their wishes.
Colours within tears plummet, observe the fire ignite
when trustfulness rises the dust will settle, replacing hope within fright;

What it all comes down to, doesn't falter just yet
Their hearts are lying on the ground, but they still respond
With one foot on the crutch and another limping for the sterling
What can convince them to feel the hands of God?

Gently blow the dandelion I defend brother, vigil the seeds sail
over shores to faraway lands, clustering , stretching influence....
exhaling existence and going on forever...until the very end of liberty
and on to where rainbows leap through balloon filled skies of smiles;

[close your eyes, blow...and make a wish]

I read this poem several times, thinking at these children....wish I could say the right words to show how your words touched my heart deeply.
