Shadowed Memories

I can’t escape your cold grasp
Your tendrils snaking around
My hostile fighting thoughts

These shadowed memories
Chills my frightened heart
Freezes my imprisoned soul

I just want to scream STOP
Make your haunting horror
Halt this relentless control

Your suffocating demeanor
Alienates me from the one I love
Keeping me alone and scared

No one understands the guilt
The never ending numbing fear
That grips my being to the core

You make me become so weak
So sick with this helplessness
Not knowing which way to turn.

I just want to make you go
Make you end this torture
Break the power you have

I want to banish the shadows
I want be cured of everything
For once I want to be fear free.

I want to overcome.

Fear is an ugly thing that can often keep us trapped, unable to move on with our lives.  I hope you find a way of releasing yours.  Be well.

my dear,
well written, but i have to post a different sort of reply, since this needs something more than a comment box can supply. so: look for "Kept Warm" (of course, by me) if you want my reply to this.

rosepetals25 - I found the best way to alleviate fear or hurt is to write about it, and then post it on Passions. Keep writing, and it will stop hurting...

Vandana - I'm glad you liked it

Bill - Well.. writing helps.. but I don't think writing will stop this hurt.  I've been trying for about 17 years now.  Thank you for stopping in.
