In Your Poetic Mind

You find yourself in
Still waters, the moonlight
Silhouetting the sky
In distant journeys
I have walked alone,
I have read aloud,
The words of many strangers
That live close to the
Waters edge and dance in
Solitary ballets of time

Could you be in that shadow
Among the wind, where lonely
Leaves fall as autumn blows
Softly in, are you that glider on
The ice, cold and frigid waiting for
Death to take form

The night again
Surrounds me in dark streams winding
Slowly away from earth
Home you’d say, sing proudly
When the dream comes true

I keep my ideals,
because in spite of everything,
I still believe that
people are really good at heart.

thank you ... tis been far too long since your graceful words have danced here...
this is of course beautiful and touching...
Good to see your smiling eyes here my dear.

And who's to say what might be
But in you I found a love so strong
The sun and the moon looked on in jealousy
