on the horizon of a fairytale

The gentle roam
of sandalwood breezes
passes through hillsides
painted in red and gold

a gesture to my soul to wander,
in search of lyrical remembrances…
I can only follow

The quickening of my steps leads
me to a place of recall where there
I am gifted the hint of a heartbeat
companion to my own.

Therein perhaps lies some peace...beautifully done.

I enjoyed this walk with you, as you worked the imagery well.
