All at once it happened, rain fell for me
as the pitter patter, of rain can be
just a small tickle, of tiny trickle
light and slight, of water that is fickle

falling in places, scarcely out of reach
yet finding path, to my heart’s private beach
scent of Heaven reaching, the Earth below
step outside to watch, Nature’s water show

landscape wet with hit and miss, drip of drop
oh how I wish this weather, wouldn’t stop
soaking in my senses, joy overflow
with every breath I pray, “rain please don’t slow”

thick grey clouds give a promise, there’ll be more
of the peaceful rain that I do adore

I, too, love the calm, hypnotizing sound of rain, and I love this sonnet!     Well done!~

to use a much over used word, but it sure fits   awe-some.....don't look it up in the dictionary...we east Texans have a few words that are not in there *S*....it means wonderful.

Death comes not when we cease to breathe, but when we cease to dream.
