I often think about when we first met
Things were so good back then you see
Promises to me you seemed to forget
And each day, you started hurting me

I don’t know what I ever did so wrong
For you to suddenly start turning on me
I finally realized that I had to get strong
In order to protect myself from thee

My feelings you just didn’t seem to care
Everything I wanted you always did forbid
For me you never did have time to spare
You always acted like I was just a kid

After awhile, I learned not to even cry
I became so numb deep down inside
No more, did I even want to try
And my feelings I just had to hide

ouch!!! Painful feelings indeed...

all I can say is that there are people out there who won't treat you that way and you can never give in to the thoughts you don't deserve better...
