Mutington’s Lullaby
By: Noah Eaton
10/26/01

She came to a meadow green and lush
Surrounded by ruby-throated hummingbirds and aspen trees
She rolled around joyfully in the beauty of this vision
Capering about in the warm halcyon breeze

The words of her grandmother whispered in her heart
Cooing a symphony of pure love and nature’s courtship
She waved her hands in tears to the Good Lord above
Blessed by the spirit of the great oak tree where her love always grows by the second

And so spreading the wealth and love her sweet heart endured
She became this strong golden oak tree, bearing leaves and acres of love
Inviting all of Mother Nature’s friends to play in the shade, loved ones joining together
Planting seeds of hope into the soil, watching nature rise from above

She scents the alpine grasses with heather and jasmine for lovers to dream
And lined the skies with silver linings for God’s love to seep through
Sharing tears with those who need compassion, she hugs all her friends close
And reciting all God’s country portrays, which we share between me and you…

She is our sweet Mutington, the queen of the meadow
Shining with a golden heart as loving as can ever be
Together we all share our love for you, and these gifs of blessings we bring
Happy Anniversary to this meadow, the one I love so happily…

You've a gift of personification of nature, Noah. I enjoy this very much, especially being an official member of Passions "tree huggers" club...an unofficial, unorganized band of nature lovers. My applause, sweet Noah!

Noah, This is simply lovely. Chris
